Why Colibri?

A Colibri is a hummingbird in the various European languages. Hummingbirds are native to North America and the Colorado Plateau desert region where we reside and derive our inspiration from. To the Diné who have resided in this region longer than most, hummingbirds represent guidance, balance in relationships, family, rain and good fortune. Hummingbirds also symbolize strength, beauty and wisdom which is what we strive to embody in our photographs and art.
